It has been a year! How time flies so fast, in a process to adapt my life without my beloved mom.
She was pronounced deceased at 8.20 am on 17th of July, 2023 by medical officer due to complication of high blood sugar and hight blood pressure. She was in a bed when she had her last breathed because she had diarrhea since the middle of night to the early morning and Along let her stayed on the bed before the clinic visit. The funeral for my mom was held after Zuhur. The process, from the body wash, shrouding, prayer to burial was so smooth. Alhamdulillah, the tahlil recite non stopped from morning to evening.
I've got a call from my sis around 8 am on the same day and rang my husband at his office. Unfortunately, we can't go back on the same day. I and my husband in the process of renewing our visa. So we made a visit to Phillipines Immigration on a same day around 10 am to expedite the process, bought the next day flight ticket and wait for the visa approval. We've got the approval by 4pm and we can collected the visa and passport before our flight next day.
It was not easy to stay calm. i was crying messed when i saw my husband waiting for me at the lobby before the visit to immigration. The worst was after the video call to Malaysia, crying with no sound because i was in public area. i need to wear mask to concile my puffy face.
The second day, we touched down at KLIA around 4pm. The first person i've met was Fana, my master buddy. She gave me the comfort and condolence. We were then fetched by my friends who was my ex-colleague, Amera and Syazwani, and reach Melaka at 7pm. While my sibling arranged for the tahlil. Deep talk, shed lot of tears, give comfort to each other, how me and my sibling end the night.
After 48 hours, i finally visited my mom grave on a third day morning. No more tears, no regret, everything happen accordance to Allah will. I also got to spend three weeks in Malaysia. We held tahlil in my mom house on the third, fifth and seventh day.
As an expat, who living abroad, this is the risk you need to bare. Anything emergency, you can't be there on the very moment. But thanks Allah, i've good support system. I can't think straight once i've received the call from Malaysia. I just tagged along with my husband mindlessly, go through each process. My sibling always updated the news from the Malaysia, send lot of pictures for me. My neighbours spared some time for me to see my mom face before end the shrouding process and let me follow the burial process through video call. My friends gave lots of condolence, comfort through out the whole process
Lots of loves and thanks to my support system.
