Assalamualaikum and good morning 😊.
Since become an expatriate in Philippines, kita org ambik peluang untuk explore this country. Mungkin tak dapat pergi semua tempat, tapi cuba planning base on budget. But we prioritize kan balik M"sia and it is a must.
Balik M'sia untuk bercuti wajib yer bagi I, klau my husband busy, I sanggup balik sendiri😆Alhamdulillah for now, thrice a year dapat balik kampung, and my husband on leave for 2 week.
Holiday in Philippines as a Muslim, it is better to go by your own private group. Cost for private group normally higher than joiner group and base on numbers of pax. Makin ramai makin murah and sebaliknya. You can go for joiner group, much cheaper tapi kekadang tu kongsi bilik, makanan x halal, atau penginapan yang tidak lengkap dalam bilik. We prefer homestay/private house with full kitchen equipment or hotel equip with refrigerator and kettle. We bring our own food, sama ade frozen ker, per cook ker, nak masak sendiri ker, depend on the each trip.
Ini barang-barang yang selalu bawa, Mini rice cooker, instant noodle, frozen sambal/rendang, hard boiled egg, chicken floss
With private tour, more flexible in term of the itinerary. Waktu makan, tak perlu singgah restaurant yg di suggest, you can divert to other area to have lunch on your own food. Boleh singgah kedai beli telur ayam, fresh seafood untuk masak, boleh checkout lambat sikit untuk jamak solat dulu sebelum gerak balik. On the way, mmg susahlah nak jumpa masjid/surau tepi jalan, if you travel outside of Manila
Atas: Lepas naik gunung Gulagod Baboy, lepak dekat rest house tepi pantai untuk makan bekal, mandi and solat
Bawah: Waktu lunch sepatutya pergi restaurant, lepak dekat nipah hut tepi pantai untuk memasak. Seafood fresh baru beli. Lepas makan boleh solat n rehat sementar tunggu check in penginapan
Basicly, not easy to find halal food outside of Manila. I am sure there are small Islam Committee in certain area, but the distance not convenience to travel. But it is ok, boleh dapat experience baru. Roti Gardinea, sardin, biskut, ada jer yang halal dijual kat kedai-kedai kecik, kena rajin belek yer.
In next entry, I will share my holiday experience in El Nido, Palawan and Puerto Galero, Mindoro.
